EEPSEA is now with WorldFish

The Economy and Environment Program for Southeast Asia (EEPSEA) is now hosted by WorldFish, a member of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) Consortium. As a result of this development in EEPSEA administration, the Program now has two country offices, one in the WorldFish headquarters in Penang, Malaysia and another in the WorldFish Philippine Country Office in Los Baños, Philippines.

The Program continues to be supported by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). Dr. Herminia A. Francisco remains as Program Director.

CGIAR is a global partnership whose research is dedicated to reducing rural poverty, increasing food security, improving human health and nutrition, and ensuring a more sustainable management of natural resources. As such, EEPSEA’s addition to the CGIAR family reinforces its strategic position to influence policy decisions related to sustainable natural resource management towards a stronger Southeast Asian economy.
