Call for Concept Proposals

EEPSEA is pleased to announce a call for concept proposals for the April 2012 competition.
EEPSEA was established in May 1993 to support training and research in environmental and natural resource economics. The goal is to strengthen local capacity in the economic analysis of environmental problems so that researchers can provide sound advice to policy-makers. Each year, it calls for proposals on environmental economics research from researchers in Southeast Asia+China.
The theme of EEPSEA‘s research program is the internalization of external costs. There is widespread interest in minimizing pollution and resource degradation by insuring that economic agents face the full costs of their activities. Research topics that apply the tools of economics in the analysis of policy-relevant environmental challenges are invited from EEPSEA member countries.
EEPSEA accepts research proposals on priority national environmental problems. In addition, it encourages research proposals dealing with climate-risks management, engendering environmental economics research, application of behavioural economics tool in analysis of environmental problems, environmental health valuations, and those dealing with regional environmental issues.
Researchers from Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam are invited to submit proposals.

. The file name for the attachment should be in the following format: LastName Submission Date (e.g. Wong 30December2011). Proposals should be received on or before December 30, 2011, Singapore Standard Time.The guidelines set out in the concept proposal form must be followed strictly.
Please note: Only those with accepted concept proposals will be invited to submit a full proposal that will be due on February 15, 2012.
